Ultimate Superfood Smoothie

Now more than ever we need to be mindful about what we put into our bodies. Drink plenty of water and eat lots of veggies. Below is a smoothie I’ve been making a lot recently. It’s packed full of all the superfoods that will help maintain your health as we move into the winter season.

If I want to make more of a meal out of I, I top it with RAW granola. For a little extra sweetness, add 1 or 2 more dates.

Serving Size: 1

INGREDIENTS:

  • Spinach - a handful

  • Frozen Mango - 1 cup

  • 1/2 Frozen Banana

  • 1/4 Avocado

  • Dates - 2

  • Ground Seed mix (hemp, chia, flax ) - 1 tbsp

  • Maca - 1 tsp

  • Macuna - 1 tsp

  • Morninga - 1 tsp

  • Fo-ti - 1/2 tsp

  • Green Mix (Spirulina, Wheatgrass) - 2 tsp.

  • Cacao Nibs Topping

SUPERFOODS:

Maca is a highly nutritious root powder with loads of vitamins and minerals. Studies have shown that Maca can enhance your mood and has been associated with reducing anxiety and boosting energy.

Moringa is a plant with one of the highest antioxidant contents of any food and is essential for repairing and preventing cell damage.

Macuna is a tropical legume that healers have used for centuries to heal the nervous system, mainly anxiety and infertility. Some refer it as “natures adderall” and helps increase focus, improve memory, and reduce stress.

Fo- Ti enhancer AKA Ho-shou-wu, is an herb that is used to enhance energy and nourishes the blood, liver, kidneys.
